I brought a PS2 which I played with a fair bit. Disgaea is a good time-waster, and if you can can manage it DDR is fun too. There was a gym on post so it was convenient to just go and work out for a few hours if you got too bored. Bring or buy an mp3 player. I also did some fursuit construction, but I don't recommend that since it's really hard to find the necessary materials. General arting would be a better idea. There was a place on post where you could get free lumber and hardware, so there were a lot of gazebos everywhere. The armor crosses were all hand made too.

Hey guys, havnt posted in forever so i figured i'd drop a line.

Was just wondering what you guys do for fun while deployed. I didnt bring much besides my laptop but I finnally broke down and bought Maya (computer animation software) that i have been watching since i guess mid 2002. Im in afghanistan, though i wont say more on unsecure interweb, and it should be here in about 10-16 days. I cant wait to start learning it as thats what i plan on doing when i get out after this deployment.

But feel free to share what you do for fun in the sand box. Might give me some ideas to mix it up a bit and keep me from going stir crazy

thanks   Grin

heh, i know i havn't had time for much of anything. PCSed to Hawaii and its been 05:00 in the morning to 19:00 every day for months. 23:00 on many days with almost no days off. That tends to happen though when you have 3 months to prepare a unit that has never deployed before. A unit normally has 2-3 times longer to get ready. But yeah leaving very soon. At least i get to save up some $$ for when i return. This will set me up for a very fruitful and smooth transition when i ETS.

I know myself and Pony still visit here, but what happened to everyone else? Do we need to recruit new members just to get some activity around here?

I don't know about anyone else, but we need to liven this place up a bit. Hell there isn't enough activity here to constitute a real site sometimes. I get on maybe twice a week, and I should get on more... perhaps a general discussion type thread would help?

your FACE is asleep burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn

What are your thoughts on the issue?

Personally I think government health care is a good idea, but with all the debt our country has right now I think we should get better financially before we go spending so much money on health care.
